Bio

I am a one-woman small pottery out of my homestudio in Randolph, Vermont. Traditionally wheel-thrown stoneware that is strong and durable, intended for everyday use. I try to retain the soft, loose quality of the clay along with fluid glazing process marks, wanting to keep the human touch alive in my pieces. I’m inspired by the effortless beauty in nature, unfussy yet complex.

While studying for my BA in Environmental Studies at University of North Carolina Wilmington, I took ceramics on the side. I was instantly hooked by the tactile focus it required, pouring your energy into something so deceivingly 'simple' as a bowl or cup. I took every class they offered, some twice. My professor Wilcox instilled a quiet but ferocious inquisitiveness for all the small details that build to the character of a pot. After graduating I returned to my home state, working at River Arts Community Art Center for 5 years launching and managing a thriving community clay studio. I now work full-time in my home-studio participating in regional craft shows, open studios, as well as online and wholesale to shops throughout Vermont.

• 2021 Vermont Arts Council Artist Development Grant awardee to attend Wild Clay + Local Matierals workshop by Studio Alluvium at Mendocino Art Center in California

• 2023 Attended Stephen Proctor's Throwing Big Workshop in Brattleboro, Vermont

• 2025 Attended John Dix: Permission to Diverge at Oki Doki studio in Germantown, New York

• 2026 Attended Wheel Demonstration with Teacher Kwak Kyung Tae at Tao of Clay in San Diego, California
